Capt. Steve Moorhouse, Royal Navy, the commanding officer of HMS Queen Elizabeth, discusses the UK supercarrier’s training cycle in US waters to prepare for its first deployment, rebuild a carrier strike capability and improve high-end warfighting skills with reporters Nov. 20, 2019, during the Atlantic Future Forum held aboard the ship at anchor off the US Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. The ship ended its three-month deployment and returned to the UK on Nov. 21.

Robert DiCarlo, systems engineer at the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s C5ISR Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., discusses the Radio Interoperability Capability-Universal — or RIC-U — Voice Bridge, a single device that can automatically interconnect US and allied radios with Defense & Aerospace Report Editor Vago Muradian. The system, developed by the US Army, was derived from the Radio Interoperability Capability-Korean to better connect US and South Korean forces. The interview was conducted at the DoD’s recent 2019 Lab Day.
