Cmdr. George Wallace, USN Ret., author of the best-selling novel “Firing Point” that is now the major motion picture “Hunter Killer” starring Gerard Butler, discusses his work, making a realistic movie about submarine operations with Hollywood star Butler and more with Defense & Aerospace Report Editor Vago Muradian at the Naval Submarine League’s annual symposium. Wallace — who spent a career in submarines culminating in command of USS Houston during which the ship earned a CIA Meritorious Unit Citation — has written or co-written other submarine-themed books including “Final Bearing,” “Operation Golden Dawn,” and “Dangerous Grounds.”
